it is the 25th tonight, so its still christmas...and illegal fireworks are whistling over the rooftops as my fingers tap over the keys....
my family, bebe and i had a private xmas eve dinner - a gorgeous one with appetisers, mains and desserts from all of us; then we headed off to Holy Rosary to celebrate His birth and to give thanks and praise! twas all rather enjoyable actually...popular christmas carols led the way to a blast of a finale and we were all practically skipping out the church's doors when twas all over :) we headed back to my stepbro's place at robson for the gift exchange...plus many many laughs in store that was for sure :P we didnt linger round for long, and left for home - with yet another gift exchange amongst just us. all was well and fine and we finally started to nod off to sleep around 3...
in the end...after ZERO suggestions for xmas present ideas and a period of monks-in-prayer stillness (thanks a lot), i managed to come up with some really appreciative presents after all! to just rattle off what compiled the list of received and sent, there were loads of clothes...makeup, gorgeous hobo bag, tiffany's from my bebe (MUAKS!), victoria secret...yea i think thats about it... i'll probably steal the book i gave kristie after she's read it...HEHE ;)
a thousand apologies for the lack of pictures...expect i'll put them up pretty soon. so we can oggle the food and pweety faces together-gether! teehee :)) till then...

never did know much
there are just too many things id like to start off this entry with and i dunno which. i wanna start off the right footing cos i dont want the dreary context of this beginning to tag me as i go along! *sigh* oh well.
i guess my beginning might as well take the form of how im feeling...and what describes me best at present is "silent tears in a city of stone..."
gosh i left the punishing, suicide-inducing life back at sg and now im deep in the pit again... i guess ending it all means un-feeling all these...oh well, anyways christmas is coming, ho ho and la dee da.

many funnies in the sun
Hey hos :P decided to upload some of my Bali pictures...just acting on a whim la. Had a lot of fun, beautiful place to shop and get beached :) Look see look see my captioned pictures!

sporting a rather gleeful expression while browsing my way through the street lined with shops, cafe, restaurants, accommodations etc

gave in to my craving for a local Bintang beer while dining at Mades Warung after some shopping...

i think i got a lil 'ding-dong' after my beer...sigh, what a waste of a long night ahead! must be the cina genes...

dined at Bubba Gump's, a themed restaurant from the movie Forrest Gump! interesting place and servers...order a margarita and watch what happens next!

signages that are fun to flip to construe orders! hehe...oh no the elmo in me is resurfacing...

hmm...pork tenderloin strips smell and taste so yummy!!!

the spread that was ordered at Bubba Gump's...really awesome ooh-la-la stuff.

a really beautiful view of the sun's glowing embers near sundown... went sightseeing at this temple and stood on a steep cliff overlooking the crashing waves down below!

these temple monkeys were really naughty man...up to the point of grabbing personal belongings from tourists! damaged and chewed items like necklaces, camera pouches, snack packs etc were held tightly in their grasps.

me enjoying the fresh coastal air by the cliff...was a lil apprehensive of the monkeys grabbing my hair though!! :S

you wouldnt believe what an absolute wonder twas to just lay on a deck chair and breathe in the salty ocean air and feel white fine sand between your toes :)) must be mother nature's form of a relaxant!

SEE! white sands, locals and expats litter Dreamland beach... i still find myself catching my breath in my throat when i imagine those crisp cool 15-degree-celsius waves and clear skies overhead!

i was trying my hardest not to burst out laughing as i posed against the wind at one of the more commercial beaches...ppl thought we were doin a photoshoot!

fuyoo...dunno what i was doing...probably catwalking my way to the showers to get the sand off :)

i think this was my last night in Bali. so it was more shopping, eating, swimming at Vira Bali's quaint lil pool and chilling by the fountain before i was deported to KL... :P sigh no more d for now...n'er mind, more exotic destinations to come in time thats for sure! till then, its TTFN! :*

Haiyooo ive just started blogging a few liners and im inclined to complain already :P(some ppl might be rolling their eyes now, HAHA) Anyways, its been quite a day today and ive actually just finished copying some songs to my boss's removable hard disk so yes, he gonnbe a happy man :) You know why, one thing led to another when he hitched a ride in my car to KL and so happened he liked hearing the songs i was playing in it! So right now im listening to a mixture of melancholys + retros and its soooo enlightening i tell u!!! Hehe :)
Actually right after work just now, my boss and us writers went off to a buka puasa session that a client invited us to at kay el chi chi :) I practically gorged myself on sushi, sashimi, ikan bakar, kangkong w sotong, fresh greens, olives, tandoori chicken & naan, agar2, fruits... WAHHH ;P haha... We didnt finish too late, surprisingly! We all left klcc at about 9pm then boss very kindly dropped us off separately at our cars!
Guess what, got a lil sidetracked...im actually pouring my heart (and lungs) out to brian adams & barbara streisand's i finally found someone... romantic-nya! Anyways, this song holds more for me than just the soppy love notes innit. My cousin 'kahcheng' and our friends in klang remind me of happier times too...sigh. He's somewhere in saudi working his ass off now, will probably be back end of the year then we can hula2 or sumthing.... :))
Aiyoh lookie yonder its twelvish dee...i gotta go crash man...love yall... will keep the updates comin'... hehe :P

mummy goes over the rainbow :P

On Sept 4 - the day of mummy's birthday itself, kristie and i were communicating via email at work to decide where the birthday celebration would be. I didnt quite know what suggestions to throw out so it seemed easiest to narrow down the list, rather than begin clutching at straws! According to mummy, there are some rather classy places to dine around bandar putri puchong that we didnt know of before. Anyways we all finally decided to venture someplace nice over there and we ended up in an ever-popular place - Pizza Uno!
Kitty and james did a Houdini while we were being seated and of course mummy wondered where they disappeared to. Kitty actually asked me about the cake arrangements while we were seated in the car with mummy between us! Hehehe...she mouthed the words to me and i went like "oh oh" so she and james shot off to a nearby bakery the moment they got down the car!
When they got back, we all began ordering...some die-hard favourites, some new choices. The food was awesome as usual, though we lost some confidence in the waiter/owner when he failed to elaborate our choice of appetisers to us. Foie gras, escargot and basil pesto ALL came separately with their servings of warm foccacia loafs! Two of the choices were menu-ed on the walls without pictures, so you would have thought he would explain to us that ALL of them had bread man! Stupid idiot... anyways all was not lost just yet; we didnt have to morph into yeast factories after all! There were braised lamb shanks, aglio olio, steak, oven slow-baked & fried chicken, as well as my seafood paella so slowly but surely we ate through the many many courses! YUMMY...
Luckily papa and mummy were quite stuffed by then, so dessert was out of the question. We signaled the stupid waiter/owner and he marched out with some other waiters singing "happy birthday" to mummy! Mummy was pleased i could tell. Anyways, who doesnt like a little personalised attention?! :) Papa, the usual gala entertainer told us hilarious hokkien jokes while we were having the fluffy tiramisu for dessert and gales of laughter continued long after dessert! It really was much more than your average dinner and cake and im real pleased that all of us - especially the birthday girl, enjoyed herself tremendously.
~ Stay beautifully you, mummy ~

one ooh-la-la birthday!
Turning a year older last night was really a whole new experience for me! keke...but then again, how many times does one turn 85?? :P My adorable Donkey Kong took me to CafeCafe KL where the ambience blew me away, i must admit he did succeed in impressing me with such a dinner and also being the hunky dory he is (keke). Really was bowled over by the decor within! Think dark elegant draperies, champagne glasses, french cuisine, millions of chandelier glass twinkling overhead and YOU'VE GOT IT, beh beh! ;) Smiling waiters in a mysterious cavern of victorian beauty are at your service with oh-so-glorious food and wine/liquor/coffee liquer/tonics/ fruities/etc... We re-educated ourselves on table etiquette and ate steadily through norwegian salmon, spaghetti heaped with bolognese sauce and seafood... I'm even swooning over those times as i sit here and write this now :) All the while we chatted and caught up on the day to day as we washed our chatter-dry throats down with one truely unique iced lemon tea and a Fosters (how could i not?)! Coming back home, i was very happy that kristie and james were there too, so we could all enjoy the cheese cake Donkey Kong bought from the place where it has our certified 'chop' of goodness :P He was really very sweet and i'm sure he got the idea of my Simpsons' cake from my overexcited reenactment of Homer and Bart's antics! Gaaaa! hehe... Time to time, i sometimes tell people close to me how some of my 21/8s do not feel like my special day - thats simply because i havent been made to feel special! This time, I would say that YESH, this birdday has got my big fat 'sirim chop' all over it :D Anyhoo, enjoy browsing through the pictures below as i have and smile away! See picture, see picture! hehe. *HUGS*

merrily the donkeys roll along

A big HARO to all the people who keep tabs on me :P !
I got a fairly new announcement to make:
I'm attached now, and i'm loving every day with my guy... :)
I've known him for a couple of months now and we just thought it was high time (after the kajan break) that we got a move on with life and onto all the sweet episodes it's just waiting for us to experience! To those who might be worried about my quick transition, thank you for your really sweet thoughts :) but i believe i looked high and low before i took that leap. Time and tide really waits for no man and my recent new 'labelling' has proven to me that troubles really only lasts as long as you keep dwelling on it.
Okay then, i'll stop right here fer now but stay alongside me as we gallop toward a better future! :)

leaving ms. melancholy behind
Kaj and i have gone solo, each onto different paths and these couple of days have been a very difficult time for me, and probably for him too. Instead of dwelling on uncertainties and what not, i guess the best option now is for us to take this very bold step and pursue our individual goals. He has been extremely gracious in handling our relationship with delicate care and in remaining firm friends with me! I really cannot thank him enough for all that he has done for me while we were together...thanks a gazillion, babe! He is one of the best experiences that ever happened to me and bloody hell, I would do it all over again! :) The next inevitable step of course, is to lighten up...laugh about bullcrap with family and friends... and eventually, even share our endless love for laughter with someone else. This is it for now... update on Bali trip soon!
Peace out, love to all... :)
